Quarto Minguante
Between A Montra’s window and Raum’s page, Mafalda Santos’ proposal is built on a temporary and simultaneous occupation of two spaces, with the presence of invited artists: Margarida Dias Coelho, Oficina Arara, Mariana Moraes, Susana Gaudêncio, Von Calhau, Garcia da Selva, Sara & André, Catarina Leitão, Catarina Lee, Sara Rafael, Cláudia Varejão, Miguel Soares and Daniel Schürer.
A first intervention will occupy the totality of the surface, which will close A Montra’s shopwindow, on the 4th of February of 2015. During the course of the residency, a new work of a different artist will be placed daily, which will then be simultaneously shown at Raum’s online platform. In a game of unpredictable overlays, each new intervention will be placed over the previous one, leaving visible just a margin around the preceding work, occupying a progressively smaller area.
